this is great

Sammie is sitting here guiding me through my first time blogging. i feel so computer savvy.Beth and Brent thank you so much for the great evening. Sammie and i had a great time. I am a bad wife because on my way home Rick called and asked me to get him a quarter pounder for dinner. I'm not going to mention about how good dinner was and that there was enough left over that i could have made him a nice plate. but i will get him a drink if he asks for one lol. thank you again for the great company all of you.

I'm thankful for all of you...

This past Sunday my family had Thanksgiving a little early. I'd like to take a moment to tell you all how thankful I am for each of you, and for our group. It seems like we've grown a lot spiritually lately. I'm also thankful in advance for all the growing that we will do together in the months ahead.

I love you guys!

Ok...we're on...I've not done the "blogging" thing before. I hope I can figure this out! It's a great idea...thanks for putting it together!
Here's a picture of where we were last night...we missed you all! Next weekend the race is on Saturday so we should be able to make it to minichurch. Can't wait to see everyone!
We didn't win the over-all race...but we won several runs and it was a great night. Ron & Larry (our driver) now hold the title of "fastest 10.5 car" ever to go down Atco's track! We're also apparently the "5th fastest car in the nation" for our class of racing! All of Ron's hard work is finally coming to fruition!

Building One Another Up

For Chapter 2:
Questions for the opening of the mini-church Bible study for next week:

What was your family like when you were growing up?
What dreams do you have for your family now?
When did you first realize what it meant to be a part of the family of God?

Here are the scripture references in the chapter and
the thought questions for week 2:

Ephesians 2:19
Ephesians 1:5
Matthew 18:20
Thessalonians 4:9-10
Hebrews 13:1-3
1 Peter 1:22-23
1 Peter 3:8-9
2 Peter 1:5-7
Romans 12:15

What would a church look like that truly functioned as the family of God?  In what ways have you seen your church function as the family of God?

Read the scripture passages listed under step 1 for developing family relationships in your church.  If your small group were to take seriously those exhortations, how would it impact this group?  How might it impact the church?

Answer the following questions regarding feelings of rejection:

How does rejection hinder someone from "being devoted to one another?"
How can a person overcome the fear of rejection?
How can others help someone who fears rejection?
What might indicate that a person is afraid of being rejected?
When do you feel most at risk for being rejected?

What is the relationship between a person's family background and the way that person relates to the "church family?"  What are your own emotional reactions to words like "father" or "brother?"

What does our prayer life say about your level of concern for members of our church family?  Make a list of prayer concerns relating to others in your church family that you can pray about individually and as a group.

Welcome to the FAC Mini Church Blog Spot!

A place where we can "one another" each other! Let's meet here to pray for each other, communicate about our group needs, and strengthen our Godly horizontal relationships with each other.
